A transfer of equity, or transfer not for value (if with no consideration), means that the interest (a share) in a property is sold, transferred, or gifted to another owner, but with one of the current owners remaining on the title. A share in the property or whole of the property can also be transferred no consideration.
This may be for a range of reasons, including marriage, or inheritance. In any case, our expert conveyancing team are here to help.
